Students, organizations, and athletic teams are all encouraged to come bid farewell to President Jessica Kozloff, Hawaiian style, at a luau party tonight.
"We just want to say thank you for the time she served here," said CGA vice president Gregory Cechak. "She was a very student oriented president."
The luau will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the Kehr Union Ballroom.
Cechak, along with CGA Senate member, Ryan Geiger headed up the event planning.
This is an event for the students, thrown by the students, according to Cechak.
The Hawaiian themed party, which is totally free for students, will include free food, give-aways, and live entertainment. Students Martin Pastor and Drew Nugent, as well as the BU Dance Team and the Gospel Choir will be performing for the event.
"We are encouraging everyone to show up," said Cechak.
Speakers for the event include Dr. Kozloff and CGA president Christopher Bevan.
Dr. Kozloff will end her thirteen-year term as Bloomsburg University's president with her retirement in December. Her thirteen years are the longest term served by a University president since Harvey Andruss, who served from 1939-1969.
The University's new president will be announced next Tuesday.
