BU drops three of four, beating top team in the PSAC-East in weekend finale, avoiding sweep
The Bloomsburg University baseball team lost three of its four games to Kutztown this past weekend as part of a home and home series, falling to 14-28 on the season. In game one of the Saturday double header, the Huskies fell behind in the first inning, but Bloomsburg senior Tony Donofry tied the game up with a lead off solo home run in the bottom of the inning.

And down the stretch they come. With just nine games left in the season, the Bloomsburg University baseball team has shown their true colors over the past six games. They’ve shown that at times they can be extremely productive offensively, piling up runs in the double digits with ease.
Bloomsburg uses hot bats and timely pitching to win three out of four in past week
For most of the season, the Bloomsburg Huskies baseball team has been able to pitch and hit very well at different times throughout the season. The problem has consistently been putting pitching and hitting together in one game and put together a complete performance on back to back days.

For the first month of the baseball season, clutch hitting throughout their lineup has kept the Bloomsburg Huskies afloat. In most games, the Huskies were able to put up double-digit run totals, but weren’t coming up with the ‘W’ because of a plethora of woeful pitching performances that doomed the team.
Huskies swept four games in a row by West Chester
With the beginning of a new PSAC season, there was a new opportunity for the Bloomsburg baseball team. For a squad coming off a 17-29 (5-19 PSAC) record in 2009, it was a chance for the Huskies to do some spring cleaning and brush the cob webs off following a 4-12 southern non-league swing that saw the Huskies lose mainly because of their pitching deficiencies.
Huskies still working out early season kinks during play in North Carolina
The Bloomsburg University baseball team traveled to Lenoir-Rhyne University this past weekend, dropping three out of the four games that were played. The Huskies were battered in the first game, as host team Lenoir-Rhyne showed them no mercy as they out-batted, out-hit, and out-scored Bloomsburg University.
Team sets out to prove they aren’t the basement dwellers people expect them to be
The Husky baseball team is coming off a disappointing season finishing 18-29 and last in the PSAC conference. As if missing out on the playoffs wasn’t enough motivation, they were also picked to finish last in the PSAC-East for the second year in a row.
