            In the game of basketball as in life, in the end it’s not about the destination but rather the journey. The journey for Bloomsburg University men’s basketball team this year was filled with amazing wins as well as heartbreaking defeats, which left us all on the edge of our seats.

Kutztown Gets Revenge on the Hardwood

Golden Bears come away with playoff win three days after Huskies beat them to earn playoff spot

            Following two straight wins, their final one against Kutztown to clinch a PSAC playoff tournament berth, the Bloomsburg University women’s basketball team saw its season end in a 74-67 overtime loss Tuesday night to those very same Golden Bears.

With one game remaining, the Huskies need a win to reach the playoffs

            The Bloomsburg University women’s basketball team lost its third straight game Saturday, falling 56-47 to Millersville at Nelson Field House.             The two teams struggled early in the first half, combining for only 25 points after 13 minutes of play.

Huskies out of playoff chase with loss to Mansfield

            For Ruben Britt and the Bloomsburg Huskies, Wednesday night at Mansfield was a do-or-die scenario. A win would leave the Huskies just one win away from that elusive golden ticket that could be punched with a road win Saturday at Kutztown.

Three big victories. For the Bloomsburg Husky men’s basketball team, a beacon of light at the end of the PSAC-East tunnel. With three games remaining, the Huskies need to win at least two out of the next three in order to move themselves into the fourth playoff spot in the PSAC-East playoffs.

Huskies’ lose chance to take sole possession of third place in PSAC-East

            The Bloomsburg University women’s basketball team lost its second game in a row Wednesday night, falling to Shippensburg 72-67 at Nelson Field House.             Bloomsburg got out to an early lead, scoring the first five points of the game, on a three pointer by freshman Jordan Pasik and a short jumper by sophomore Kelsey Gallagher.

So Close, Yet So Far

Huskies once again puzzled by formula for overtime win

Take a look at the PSAC-East men’s basketball rankings and you’ll see Bloomsburg at the bottom of the barrel. For those onlookers who may not be avid followers of the Huskies ballclub this year, it could look very similar to last year’s results that had the Huskies as cellar dwellers throughout the season.

Huskies Lose Late Lead

The Bloomsburg University women’s basketball team lost 71-61 to Cheyney on Monday night at Nelson Fieldhouse.             Originally scheduled for Saturday, February 6, the game was postponed twice due to the massive amounts of snow that fell across the state.

Huskies Topple Mounties

The Bloomsburg University women’s basketball team won its second straight game Wednesday night, beating Mansfield 74-54 at Nelson Field House.             After beating Kutztown on Saturday on a last-second basket by freshman guard Dana Wieller, the Huskies came out Wednesday night with their fast and furious style of play.
