The first women’s basketball game this year turned out to be a good one. The Blue Ballers are loaded with talent, which made the game fun to watch.

The first few points of the game were close as both sides went back and forth. The Blue Ballers then pushed the pace and opened up a lead quickly and continually. Shot after shot went off the backboard and rim for the The Underdogs, as they struggled to keep up.

Morgan Lally of Blue Ballers took the rebound and went coast to coast unguarded for an easy layup. Lally went on to score the next two baskets for the Blue Ballers without any trouble. A big 3-point shot by The Underdogs kept them in contention.

The Blue Ballers missed 6 shots in a row, half of which turned into Underdogs points. The Blue Ballers weren’t going to and let their half end like that. On the next possession they charged down the court with a series of passes, which ended up in an easy layup.

The half ended with a score of 23 - 15 in favor of the Blue Ballers. In the second half, extra passes and ball movement lead to turnovers in a few possessions when the players were capable of driving and scoring at will. The Underdogs were a scrappy team, jumping in front of passes and running around for rebounds. Blue Ballers played it a little more conservative knowing they could turn it on at any moment.

The game went back and forth for the remainder of time as the Blue Ballers messed around with their opponent. They ended up cruising to an easy win over The Underdogs 47 – 27.
