With one game remaining, the Huskies need a win to reach the playoffs

          The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team lost its third straight game Saturday, falling 56-47 to Millersville at Nelson Field House.
           
The two teams struggled early in the first half, combining for only 25 points after 13 minutes of play. The Huskies took a 21-16 lead late into the first half, but Millersville rallied and went on an 8-0 run over the final two minutes of the first half. 
           
After Millersville started the second half on a 9-2 run, freshmen Dana Wieller and Kayla Oxenrider hit back-to-back threes to bring the Huskies to within three. After another Millersville basket, Wieller hit another three and freshman Christine Sereta tied the game at 36 with a lay up. 
           
Bloomsburg would tie the game at 40 later in the second half, but Millersville responded with a 9-0 run to pull ahead of the Huskies for good. Bloomsburg rallied to within six points with just under 15 seconds left, but Millersville hit its collective free throws to seal the game, 56-47.
           
Wieller led the Huskies with 15 points. Wieller, Oxenrider, and sophomore Kelsey Gallagher combined for 32 of the Huskies' 47 points. Freshman Alyssa Flanagan added five points, eight assists, and three steals for the Huskies.
           
The loss was Bloomsburg's third in a row, dropping the Huskies into a tie for fourth place and the final playoff spot in the PSAC East Division. The Huskies are tied with West Chester and Cheyney for the final PSAC East playoff spot. The Huskies won lastnight versus Mansfield and must win its final game its final regular season game on Saturday at Kutztown to earn a playoff berth. Tip-off is at 1:00 p.m.
