The men and women's tennis teams smashed past Cheyney and East Stroudsburg, continuing their winning-streak.

On April 1 the women's tennis team faced off against Cheyney University and completely dominated them. Not a single game was won by the Wolves, as the Huskies provided them with a clean sweep. The fact that Cheyney forfeited their sixth-singles and third-doubles matches, did not help them in their defeat. The end scored tallied up to Bloomsburg University winning 76 games to Cheyney's 0.

Danielle Walsh returned to the courts after only playing an exhibition game against Wilkes University a day earlier. She was paired up with Sarah Fisher as they delivered an 8-0 win.

BU next faced off against East Stroudsburg, with the men leading the way as they pawed their way through the Warriors. Ricky Dove, a sophomore, powered-through his win, remaining untouchable with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Lee Wexler, also a sophomore, achieved a win 6-2, 6-3, albeit experiencing some difficulty with line calls with his opponent.

"My opponent and I got into a bit of a debate about line calls, but I pretty much had control of the whole match," Wexler said. "The temperature was just fine, but the wind made it tough to play the style that I really wanted. I did my best to try and outwork my opponent, and that is how Brandon and I won our matches. We outlasted our opponents, while Ricky just overpowered his."

Brandom Cummings won his match at third-singles 6-4, 6-3.

The Husky men swept East Stroudsburg, while the women did not have it so easy.

Starting off by dropping two out of the three doubles matches, the women's tennis team quickly made up for it by taking all the wins in the singles matches. The men won 9-0 while the women won 7-2.

Ricky Dove of the men's team, and Laura Sullivan of the women's team both received PSAC's tennis player of the week award. Dove was 2-0 in his singles and doubles matches, while Sullivan went 3-0 in singles, and 1-1 in doubles.

The women's team improved their record to 8-3, while the men improved their's to 7-3.

"We played a much more focused match than our previous meeting with East Stroudsburg in the season. This time we took them hard in the doubles, and that led to a great 9-0 victory. Our focus was to be loud for one another so we can start uniting as a team more, and we really demonstrated that on Friday," Wexler ended, wrapping up the overall performance of the men's tennis team.

The women didn't dominate the doubles, but they still won. And both teams are only furthering their determination as they continue to win.
